In 2005, Ford updated the Focus’ exterior (headlights/grill) and interior dashboard while leaving the rest of the Ford-Europe designed chassis/mechanicals alone.  If you’ve not driven a Focus, it may be difficult to believe how well these little Fords drive.  This particular car is tight, quiet (more so than my BMW 5-series!) and really a pleasure to drive.  The interior is clean and fresh smelling.  The A/C is “frost-bite” cold!  The Sony-designed AM/FM/CD stereo is superb--again, better than my BMW’s!  If you’re looking for a family/commuter/school car, consider the Focus.  Thousands less than Asian competitors, these economical Fords are simply a home-run.  46k miles and $8,500.
